As resident astronomer for BBC Sussex and Surrey Radio, I appeared on the Afternoon Show with presenter, Mark Carter on Monday 18 July 2016 when we whizzed through how I 'slipped' into the world of astronomy outreach as well as discussing what's hot in the July/August night sky; the merits of binoculars and telescopes, radio astronomy and the summer Milky Way.

Phone calls and texts from listeners whistled in during a fun-packed half-hour show!

Feel free to listen in to a recording on iPlayer and don't forget to join us for more lively and informative discussion in our next show! Date to be advised.
